Method

Step1: Prepare the AeroPress
Place a paper filter into the filter cap and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste.

Step 2: Assemble and tare
Attach the cap to the AeroPress and place it upright on top of your mug on the scales. Tare to zero.

Step 3: Add Coffee
Add 15 grams freshly ground coffee to the chamber. Give it a gentle shake to level the grounds evenly.

Step 4: Start Brewing
Start the timer and pour in 200 ml of hot water (93-96 degrees), ensuring all the coffee is evenly saturated.

Step 5: Stir and Steep
Stir gently for 5 seconds, then insert the plunger slightly to create a seal. Allow the coffee to steep for about 2 minutes.

Step 6: Press the Coffee
Slowly press the plunger down with steady pressure. The press should take around 30 seconds.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy
Once you hear a gentle hissing sound, stop pressing. Serve immediately and enjoy your coffee.

The AeroPress is one of the most forgiving brewers available. If your first cup isn't quite right, small adjustments to grind size or brew time make a big difference.
